EASY WFPB Snack! 🌱 Oil-Free Vegan Jerky Made from Soybeans! High Protein & High Fiber!
Vegan Jerky! An easy WFPB snack that's oil-Free, high protein and high fiber! This recipe features Butler soy curls which are a minimally processed whole food plant based product made from whole soybeans. (Check out more info on them below!) This is a great snack to take hiking, camping, on road trips, long plane rides, etc! Plus, it's super easy to make and takes only a few shelf-stable ingredients. Hope you guys enjoy!
🌱 Base Recipe
- 2 cups soy curls
- + boiling water for rehydrating (Enough to soak all the curls)
- 1 TBL veg. broth (or aquafaba)
- 2 TBL tamari (or soy sauce)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
Optional flavor combos (try one or the following with the above recipe)
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika + 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 TBL nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp + 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke + 1 TBL maple syrup + 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp + 2 tsp. Frank’s red hot sauce + 1 tsp. maple syrup
